This was good advice from Carman. I started gaining weight at age 8, My parents went through some of the same things as Carman's parents when he was age 11.ย my age wasย 5, moving from 70ย ak. ranch and a 2,800 sq. foot house into town in a 600 sq. foot house. I lost weight as a teenager but have struggled with my weight all my life from age 8. I've had a lot of health problems, radiation on my Thyroid didn't help.ย  So this really hit home. Carman gave good advice.

Great words of wisdom Carm, I can completely relate too! I know being overweight does lead to health issues and feeling very insecure. Great word quote! That is so true if u think negative about yourself then it will come out in how u relate to others. I don't really like water that much either but I put lemon in my water or lime it gives it a great flavor. I also buy flavored powders sweetened with stevia to put in my water. Drinking water will help in weight loss and flushing sodium out of the body! Walking is a great way to start exercise and going to the gym is great too! You are so special Carm! Thanks for all u do! Thanks Carman, I to was very skinny in my 20's. My Mom would call me "SKINNY MINNIE". I never had to worry about fighting weight, I weigh now around 200~ something. I DID lose some but gained some back. Please pray for me to be committed to keep up with my weight. It "IS" very hard. Thanks for the wisdom. God bless!!

Yeah, I'd love to FINALLY take off this excess weight FOREVER, learn to eat much healthier, learn to enjoy vigorous exercise (I hate to sweat because it breaks down my skin and then I get skin rashes). Currently, I can't afford a personal trainer (that's one of my heart's desires), I'm having bad arthritis pains and going to see an Orthopedic Dr. in two days (I already got the written report for my right hip and I need a total right hip replacement because it's already bone on bone (I had my left hip totally replaced on 2/26/14). Now I know how badly I'll be hurting after the surgery, during rehab, and healing after the surgery and I'm really scared this time around (at least the first time I didn't know how awful it would hurt). I'm in training for a new job so I'd like to wait until around the middle or end of June 2018 to have the surgery so I won't lose this new job/gig.
Please pray for me as I too will continue praying for you, thanks so much.
Now I'm going to relax after a long day and watch your movie The Book of Ruth (I don't see it for sale on your website ๐Ÿ™ which I've been wanting so badly to see like forever and FINALLY purchased it at an awesome price that fits my budget, I'll FOREVER CHERISH it.๐Ÿ˜˜ ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผโค๏ธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŽš๐Ÿ‘

Great topic today and suggestions of drinking lots of water, building muscle and walking. These are very effective ways to lose fat.
I have a lot of info that I could share with anyone needing help in losing weight and getting healthy. I would be happy to talk with anyone.

There was a time in my life that extreme chronic stress and burnout in my life (and eating the wrong foods even though I thought they were healthy and no exercise [I have always been athletic], impacted me physically and I became very inflamed (inflammation is the cause of many diseases), which of course caused much weight gain that was not my normal body type. I was extremely uncomfortable with the added weight (lots of added weight..). I didnโ€™t realize at the time how much impact chronic stress combined with poor eating habits (which I thought were healthy) and lack of sleep can have on a person physically and your health in general, but it does. I had to change my lifestyle and heal (Adrenal Fatigue) including food choices, sleep and exercise (which I love), precipitating decreasing the inflammation and the total weight loss. I have always been health conscious, but itโ€™s very easy to get off track when you unknowingly are eating foods that can cause inflammation (and weight gain) such as gluten and processed, refined sugar..and more.
Hippocrates said that all disease begins in the gut ~ emphasizing that many diseases can be healed by changing diet and lifestyle.
A couple of good resources are Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) which has programming pertaining to health, DrAxe.com and the book โ€˜ Grain Brainโ€™ written by Dr. Perlmutter.

Awesome response my friend. But I had the opposite issue. I was ALWAYS very skinny. The most I weighed was 75 lbs. I was called all sorts of names. So I can sympathize with this person. God bless. Love ya my friend & hope to see ya soon

So annoying that ppl don't tell you that you are slim when you are younger! This year i really have tried to do something different which was working until i rested and i am back where i was in February ๐Ÿ™ Doing the water thing though & now i have to start walking again. Ty for the coaching encouragement ๐Ÿ™‚

Well I can honestly say these are really good tips that you have given Carman, I would never have thought you have struggled with your weight. But I do understand the we get the harder it is to loose and maintain a healthy weight. Personally I'm a fan of walking and core training it changed my life. Thank youโ˜บ
